One Fatality and One Injured in Carrollton Truck Accident

Date: Saturday, April 9, 2011, 4/9/11
Location: Carrollton, Georgia
Event: Fatal Car Accident

According to Channel 2 Action News, one teen passed away and another teen was severely injured when hit by a truck in Carrollton, Georgia.

Both teenagers were standing at a crosswalk when a truck jumped the curb at the intersection of Bankhead Highway and Somerset Place. Both were pinned under the pickup truck. An eighteen year old passed away at the scene of the accident and a sixteen year old was airlifted to Atlanta Medical Center for injuries sustained in the accident.

The driver of the truck served off the roadway when another vehicle made a left hand turn in front of the pickup truck. Charges are pending.
