According to the Cobb County Police Department, a resident of Cartersville passed away from injuries sustained in a car accident near Powder Springs. The driver of the vehicle was traveling northbound on Midway Road when he missed a curve and ran off the roadway and crashing into a tree. The passenger in the truck, resident of Kennesaw, sustained a fractured pelvis as a result of the accident. Alcohol may have contributed to this fatal accident.
