Roswell Road in Sandy Springs, Georgia, experienced delays Wednesday morning after an SUV struck a pedestrian, according to the WSBTV website.  All southbounds lanes of Roswell Road were shut down following the accident, which injured the female pedestrian and sent her to Grady Memorial Hospital.  According to Lt. Steve Rose of the Sandy Springs police, the Atlanta area accident victim was described as a young female who may have been standing in the turn lane when she was struck.  The victim sustained head injuries in the pedestrian collision.
