Pendergrass Accident Takes Two Lives in Jackson County

Two people were killed in a Pendergrass area car wreck that stalled Jackson County traffic on I-85 Tuesday afternoon, according to Katie Highsmith of the Access North Georgia website.  Fox 5 reported that a man died at the accident scene, and the second fatality occurred at Athens Regional Medical Center when a woman died from injuries she sustained in the crash.  According to Highsmith, the fatal crash took place shortly before 2:00 p.m. at mile marker 137 on I-85 near Pendergrass, Georgia.  Details are still to come.  We express our deepest sympathies to the families of the victims in this tragic accident.  Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time.
