Pit Bull Attack Results in Dogs Death | Atlanta Dog Bite Lawyer

On Saturday, December 19, 2009, a twelve year old Dekalb County resident was attacked by a pit bull, according to WSB-TV. Today, the young girl may be able to come home from the hospital from injuries sustained in the dog bite.

According to WSB-TV, the girl was at her friend’s houses standing at the front door, when the door opened and the dog jumped on her. The mother ran to help her daughter but was unable to get the dog off her. The mother picked up a brick nearby and hit the dog over the head with it and stabbed the dog many times with a knife her daughter’s friend found. The dog died afterwards.

The girl was transported to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston for injuries from the pit bull attack. The owner of the pit bull was a cousin of the girl’s friend. The owner may be facing criminal charges.
