In Clayton County, Georgia, on September 9, 2009, a police chase began and ended with two fatalities. According to the Clayton County Police Department, a pickup truck was stolen and was being pursed when the truck hit a vehicle and killed a mother and daughter; Zannie Hatcher, seventy four years of age and Bonnie Vicks, fifty seven years of age. The chase began when the Clayton County Police Officers on duty saw two men driving in a pickup truck and appeared to be soliciting prostitutes close to Interstate Highway 75. The police chase went from Interstate Highway 75 North to Fulton County.
The driver of the pickup truck, Christian Harris, a resident of Fayetteville, Georgia, was arrested and may be charged with vehicular homicide. The passenger of the pickup truck, was not arrested at the present time because he eluded the police.
