Rain Caused Multiple Metro Atlanta Accidents This Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve this year was not as easy for Atlanta travelers as it has been in some previous holidays, according to the 11 Alive website.  Mostly due to rain in the metro Atlanta area, at least three traffic accidents occurred between 9:00 p.m. and 10:30 p.m that blocked all lanes in some places, reports the Georgia Department of Transportation. One accident involved three vehicles and occurred on I-75 north around Bartow County's Red Top Mountain exit. A second crash took place on Stone Mountain Freeway, which is Highway 78, and involved five vehicles, and the third collision that blocked all lanes of traffic was on Georgia 400 near Old Milton Parkway.
