Resident of Dacula, Georgia Charged with 29 Felonies and Traffic Offenses

On Wednesday, June 9, 2010, a 52-year-old man from Dacula, Georgia was charged with 29 criminal and traffic offenses for speeding in his vehicle down I-85 which caused several car accidents.
 
According to the Gwinnett County Police Department, the man was involved in a hit and run accident in the area of Hamilton Mill Road to Jimmy Carter Boulevard. He then intentionally slammed into vehicles while weaving in and out of traffic with a patrol car behind him.
 
He was charged with seven counts of aggravated assault, seven counts of following too closely, six counts of hit and run, four counts of aggressive driving, three counts of failure to maintain a lane and one count each of speeding and fleeing.
 
The Gwinnett County Police Department is still investigating whether drugs or alcohol was a contributing factor.
