According to the Georgia State Patrol, a suspected driver was intoxicated when he rolled his vehicle on Highway 34 in Coweta County. The driver of the vehicle, a 19 year old, faces one count of serious injury by vehicle pending his passenger’s recovery. The passenger in the vehicle, a 21 year old, was first transported to Piedmont Newnan Hospital until he was stable and then transported to Grady Memorial Hospital for severe injuries sustained in the car accident.

The driver was traveling eastbound on Highway 34 when he left the roadway, traveled through the median, and crossed over the westbound lanes and overturned the vehicle several times. The passenger was partially ejected from the vehicle.

The Georgia State Patrol’s Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team (SCRT) will be investigating this rollover accident.
