Sanitation Worker Killed in Fatal Auto Accident in West Georgia Area | West Georgia Accident Attorney

Early morning on October 25, 2009, a sanitation worker employed at Trash Pro Service was involved in a fatal car accident on Highway 113. According to the Georgia State Patrol, Terry Sisson, twenty five years of age, was on the job making his early-morning rounds when he signaled for the vehicle behind him to stop. As Mr. Sisson was giving a courtesy thank you wave, he stepped across the dividing line on Highway 113, and an ambulance heading northbound struck Mr. Sisson.

The sirens of the ambulance were not operating at the time of the accident because it was in transit to a non-emergency call to pick up a patient in Villa Rica, Georgia. The medical personnel performed treatment on Mr. Sisson’s to try to stabilize him.

Afterwards, Mr. Sisson was then transported to Tanner Medical Center in Villa Rica, Georgia by another ambulance, where he met his family and friends.

The medical personnel at Tanner Medical Center were planning to transfer Mr. Sisson’s to Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee for medical treatment but before they could Mr. Sisson’s passed away at the hospital.

The West Georgia Ambulance nor the driver of the ambulance will be charged for this fatal accident, as speeding was not a contributing factor.
