According to WAGA -TV news reports a Georgia State Trooper was struck by a vehicle while helping a stranded motorist change a tire on the side of the road. The incident occurred shortly after 5 pm on Thursday in Coweta County on I-85 near mile marker 52. The southbound lanes were shut down temporarily as investigators worked the scene of the accident. The trooper was taken by ambulance to a near by hospital.
