On Wednesday, March 24, 2010, a fatal accident occurred on Interstate 20 in Atlanta, Georgia. According to the police officers on the scene, a man carjacked an SUV from a woman in downtown Atlanta at Peters and Walker streets. The man was traveling westbound on Interstate 20 when he rear-ended another vehicle. The accident caused the SUV to crash into a guardrail and fall down a ravine. The driver of the SUV was ejected from the vehicle, and passed away from the injuries sustained in the accident.

The driver of the another vehicle involved was transported to a hospital for minor injuries.
