Suspect Injured in Car Accident After Coweta County Police Chase
A police chase on I-85 in Coweta County early this morning (Wednesday, September 17) culminated in an accident that temporarily shut down the interstate. According to Erika Facey-Palmer of 11Alive.com, police began chasing the suspect on I-85 South just north of Newnan, Georgia, around 2:00a.m. The chase continued for roughly eight miles until the suspect crashed his vehicle north of State Road 14/ US 29 and sustained minor injuries. No others were injured in the accident, and police are keeping the suspect in custody while investigating the incident.
