Type: Head-on Collision/ Fatal Car Accident
A head-on collision killed one on I-75 in Atlanta Sunday morning when a wrong-way driver collided with a taxi, according to the WSBTV website. U.S. Air Force member and taxi passenger Stephen Mittuch, 46, of Utah, died after a Ford Taurus crashed into the taxi on the interstate near Moores Mill Rd. According to the report, 29-year-old Tricia Truatt, the driver of the Taurus, was headed the wrong way on I-75 before striking Mittuch. As of Sunday, Truatt was at Atlanta's Grady Hospital in stable condition. The driver of the taxi sustained injuries in the fatal car accident as well: Marietta resident Okafor Chukwuekwu, 37, was also taken to Grady Hospital and was listed in stable condition on Sunday.
