An Alpharetta area robbery resulted in teenage fatality following a high-speed car chase with police, according to the 11 Alive website. An undercover detective from Roswell began to follow the suspects' vehicle around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday after reports of the teens' armed robbery at a Roswell apartment complex, but the suspects tried to flee upon realizing they were being followed. Alpharetta police then chased the vehicle in their cruisers, and the fleeing driver lost control of the vehicle on North Point Parkway, causing it to overturn. One of the passengers in the back seat, a 19-year-old male metro Atlanta resident, was killed, and the driver, also 19, and another passenger, age 17, sustained injuries in the crash and were taken into custody. The surviving suspects face charges of armed robbery and, most likely, vehicular manslaughter.
