Title: Teen Trapped in Hit-and-Run Accident
Already being involved in a fender bender at the Kroger on Ga. 400, the driver at fault caused another accident while they were fleeing the scene from the first incident. The Sheriff's Department finally caught up to the driver on Harmony Church road when the driver lost control and crashed into a utility pole. A 13-year old girl who was riding in the passenger seat became trapped under the pole for almost 90 minutes until authorities could free her. She was severely injured and was taken to a local hospital.
The hit-and-run driver was taken into custody, and will probably be facing charges. The damage to the utility pole caused a power outage in that area.
