In the early morning hours on November 22,2009 a young man in Porterdale Georgia overheard a commotion outside his home. The young man then went out to find a man and woman who’s car was stuck in a ditch. The teen offered to help them and as he approached the vehicle a oncoming driver in a “black compact car” going about 50 miles per hour struck the teen. The teenager suffered a knee laceration requiring a 100 stitches, multiple scrapes and bruises along with bruised ribs. He is able to use crutches but for short distances only and for any further distance requires a wheelchair.
