Thomaston Resident Dies in Bibb County Crash
Linda Bennett, 62, of Thomaston, Georgia, died Monday, October 13, after an accident at the intersection of Eisenhower Parkway and Holley Road. According to the 13WMAZ website, the car accident occurred at 4:35 p.m. in West Bibb County when a 2000 Ford Contour, driven by Upson County resident J.C. Lawson, 57, struck her vehicle, forcing her 2008 Honda Civic into a tree. According to a news release from Lt. George Meadows, Bennett's vehicle was entrapped by trees, and Macon-Bibb firemen had to remove her from the car. The crash is still under investigation.
