On Tuesday, February 9, 2010, a resident of Albany, Georgia was involved in a DUI auto accident on South Slappey Boulevard, according to the police officers on the scene. Mary Mathis, 49 years of age, was traveling northbound when her vehicle veered into the turning lane and hit two other vehicles, a Dodge Neon and a Toyota Camry. The two people in the Camry received medical treatment at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital and were later released. Ms. Mathis also received medical treatment.
