
Three passengers were taken to Athens Regional Medical Center around 7:30 a.m. Monday morning, October 20, after sustaining injuries in an Athens, Georgia, car accident involving a fire truck, according to Merritt Melancon of the Athens Banner-Herald online. According to the article, the fire engine was crossing U.S. 129 in Jackson County when a small car broadsided the fire truck on U.S. 129 near Georgia Highway 82. None of the firefighters were injured, and no further information was available about the injured car passengers at the time of the report.
