According to the Gainesville Times website, three people sustained serious injuries this afternoon (Thursday, September 25) in a Cleveland Highway accident just south of Georgia 52. After the two-car collision, one of the injured was taken by helicopter to Atlanta’s Grady Memorial Hospital, and the other two were taken in an ambulance to Northeast Georgia Medical Center. According to Operator Amber Sorrells of the Georgia State Patrol, responders arrived at the accident scene around 1:30p.m. At the time of the web report, authorities had closed all lanes of the highway near the accident.
Since further details of the car accident have not been released, liability is still yet to be determined. Should a driver be determined as at-fault in the accident, the injured parties could seek compensation from that driver’s insurance for their medical bills, pain and suffering, and other expenses.
