Three Teenagers Involved in a Pedestrian Accident in Dekalb County, Georgia

On Wednesday, January 20, 2010, three teenagers were involved in a pedestrian accident, according to the Dekalb County Police Department. All three teenagers were walking near 4600 block of Central Drive when a seventeen year old lost control of a vehicle and went onto the sidewalk and struck the teenagers.

One of the teens, age fourteen, was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital, and passed away from the injuries sustained in the accident. The other two teenagers involved, were sixteen and seventeen years of age, and received non life threatening injuries, according to the police spokeswoman. The driver of the vehicle, a Crown Victoria, suffered minor injuries as a result of the accident.

This fatal pedestrian accident is still being investigated by the Dekalb County Police Department.
