A toddler is in critical condition after a hit-and-run accident last night (Monday, August 25) on Austell Road in Cobb County. According to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Leonel Etienne was driving north in her 1994 Isuzu Rodeo on Austell Road when another vehicle slammed into her SUV from the opposite direction. Etienne then lost control of the SUV and hit a utility pole. Her daughter (23 months old) suffered extensive head injuries as a result of the crash and was airlifted to Scottish Rite. The other vehicle left the scene of the accident and is believed to be a white, older model Toyota Cressida or Camry with a damaged left front.
