In Douglasville, Georgia, on Saturday, August 29th, a family was gathering for a birthday party when an SUV lost control and crashed into their home on Berea Road. The driver of the SUV was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital for injuries sustained in the crash. Four people were in the house at the time of the accident. The homeowner died at the scene and his wife received injuries from the accident but is in stable condition. The nine year old granddaughter was transported by helicopter to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite and the thirteen year old grandson was injured but his condition has not yet be released. The homowner's daughter was injured from the car accident and her condition has not yet be released either. According to police personnel, the driver's SUV hit many mailboxes and bushes, and a parked vehicle before crashing into the house of the couple.

The investigation is still being conducted for this fatal auto accident.
