Train and 18-Wheeler Accident in Douglasville, GA

Event: 18-wheeler truck vs. train accident

According to the Douglas County authorities, a 18-wheeler hauling a dump truck on a flatbed was struck by a Norfolk-Southern freight train this morning. The 18-wheeler was on the train tracks near Highway 92 and Broad Street as the train approached. The driver of the truck attempted to flag the train down in order to stop. Unfortunately, the train could not stop, but the driver got out of the way before the accident happened. No injuries were reported.
