According to the Douglas County Sentinel, Monday night’s collision killed Troy Joseph Johnson of Carrollton. The 37 year old was traveling on Old Newnan Road and crossed the center lane striking Charity Moreland head on. The Georgia State Patrol report that although they are still investigating the scene of the accident, it is unlikely that either vehicle was traveling in excess of 50 miles per hour. GSP also reports that it is unclear if alcohol or drugs played a role in this accident. Moreland was airlifted to Atlanta Medical Center where she is listed as being in the intensive care unit in critical condition.
