Two Douglasville WSA Employees Injured in Truck Accident

Two employees from Douglas County Water and Sewer Authority (WSA) were injured on Monday afternoon, August 1st, when their company pickup truck ran off Georgia Highway 166 in Douglasville. The employees from WSA were Winston Bostick, 30, and Thomas Price, 34, who both have worked for WSA for a number of years.

The executive director of WSA, Pete Frost, states that Winston, the driver, was headed west on Hwy 166 when "he swerved to miss a deer and ran off the road." The GPS (global positioning system) connected to the truck indicated that at the time of the incident, Winston was traveling 44 miles per hour in a 45 mph zone.

The accident caused both men to be hospitalized. According to Frost, they have since been released, but are still undergoing medical treatment through workers' compensation. The truck, however, was totaled.

Georgia State Patrol is currently investigating the accident.
