In Maplesville, Alabama, two Faulkner University football players, Teirson Hollis and Ryne Wilhite, died instantly when their vehicle struck an 18 wheeler truck on Highway 82 in Chilton County, Alabama.

According to Faulkner University, the fatal car accident happened early morning on Tuesday. Both the sophomore students were returning to Montgomery from visiting a friend in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

Mr. Hollis was from Douglasville, GA., and Mr. Wilhite was from New Albany, MS. Since 2007, Mr. Hollis had been with the Eagles program. Mr. Wilhite had transferred to Faulkner University from Northeast Mississippi Community College.

Funeral service arrangements are yet to be determined.
