Two Georgia Accidents Last Week on Same Night; One Person Killed

Tennessee news source website WRCB-TV reported two Georgia accidents that occurred last week, leaving one person dead in Whitfield County. According to the site, the first car accident occurred on Airport Road in Whitfield County around 12:00 a.m. When struck by another vehicle, 44-year-old Dalton resident John McDermott was ejected from his car, and he died from injuries sustained in the crash at a local hospital. According to the Georgia State Patrol, alcohol may have been a factor in the fatal crash. The second crash occurred on Alabama Highway in Catoosa County around 12:30 a.m. and flipped on person's car. The victim sustained minor injuries in the Georgia car accident.
