According to the Georgia State Patrol, the driver of a stolen vehicle led police officials on a foot chase after striking two pedestrians with his baby in his arms. The assailant was a 24 year old, resident of Atlanta, Georgia, who was arrested and faces more than a dozen charges, including fleeing the scene of an accident, attempting to elude authorities, reckless driving, kidnaping, aggravated assault and theft by stolen property.

The two pedestrians were hit at University Drive by I-75/85 southbound. Both were transported to Grady Memorial Hospital for injuries sustained in the accident. The baby was not injured and was taken into protective custody.
