Two Injured and Two Fatalities in Auto Accident

On February 1, 2010 around 6 pm a 2000 Dodge Neon driven by a 19-year-old female was attempting to make a left hand turn but was struck by another vehicle. The 19-year-old along with a 10-year-old passenger were killed on impact while another child and woman were suffered injuries and were transported to Memorial Medical Center. According to WCOC11 the accident occurred at the intersection of Barrington Ferry Road and US-17 in Liberty County Georgia. Firefighters had to extract the victims from the vehicle using the jaws of life. The accident is still being investigated.
