Two Killed in Jefferson County, Alabama, Crashes Over Weekend

Two Jefferson County, Alabama, accidents turned fatal this weekend for a 49-year-old woman from Birmingham and a 43-year-old man from McCalla, according to Jeremy Gray of The Birmingham News online. The Jefferson County Coroner's Office stated that both car crash victims died at the scenes of their respective car accidents, one on Saturday and the second on Sunday. The first crash occurred near in Birmingham near the 15th Avenue North and 18th Street North intersection around 1:00 a.m. Saturday, killing Birmingham resident Dierdre Owens, 49. Sunday's accident took place around 10:00 p.m. on South Shades Crest Road, killing 43-year-old McCalla resident Marshall Ford. No other details were included in the article.
