On Thursday, February 4, 2010, a resident of Lula, Georgia was involved in a fatal accident in Gainesville, Georgia. According to the Georgia State Patrol, James Allen May, 54 years of age, was traveling on Cleveland Highway when his vehicle crossed over the center line and struck an oncoming vehicle. Mr. May’s vehicle left the roadway and overturned causing Mr. May to become ejected out of the vehicle. He was transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center when he passed away from the injuries sustained in the accident.

The Georgia State Patrol is still investigating said accident.
