Police in Macon, Georgia, are investigating a car-pedestrian accident that killed Macon resident Carolyn Rhodes Thursday evening, April 2, according to Liz Fabian of the Macon.com website. According to the site, a 2008 Lincoln MKZ struck 49-year-old Rhodes around 10:45 p.m. on Mercer University Drive. After allegedly "stepping into the path" of the vehicle, Rhodes was taken to The Medical Center of Central Georgia where she was later pronounced dead.
