Villa Rica Man Arrested for Public Drunkenness After Driving His Golf Cart into a Lake

According to the Carroll County Sheriff's Department, a Villa Rica man was charged with public drunkenness after driving a golf cart into the lake at Fairfield Plantation golf course. The Spa Security at Fairfield stated that some witnesses saw the offender get out of the lake after crashing his golf cart, then walked to his home on Golfview Place.

An officer approached the offender at his residence, and he admitted to having too much to drink and driving his golf cart into the lake. He was then transported to jail.
