March 31, 2008 - Perhaps the most common type of injury our clients suffer as a direct result of an auto accident is whiplash. Whiplash is caused by the sudden jerking of the head. According to the American Medical Association, general symptoms of whiplash include headaches, stiffness, dizziness, and blurred vision. It is important to know that unless you have proper medical training, you should never move someone who has sustained a neck injury, as you may aggravate or cause a more serious injury to the individual.
Some injuries associated with whiplash include spinal cord injury, nerve damage, and herniated or bulging discs. It is critical to seek immediate medical attention after suffering whiplash injury.
