Woman dies from acworth car accident injuries

An Acworth woman, Elizabeth Philips, died Tuesday afternoon from injuries she received from  a car accident on Monday, December 21, 2008.  The twenty two year-old mother  was injured when a 2002 Ford Explorer she was driving southbound on Baker Road in Acworth crossed the center line and hit a tree.  A Cobb County  police spokesman Dana Pierce reported  She later died  at the Atlanta Medical Center. . Police don't know if Ms Philips  was wearing a seatbelt. However,
 Phillips’ 1-year-old daughter and two other children in the car — an 8-year-old boy and a 16-month-old girl were all in child restraints. Pierce said." The children were properly restrained and that is what saved them" Ms. Pierce said  This according to Derrick Mahone of the Altanta Journel-Consitiution
