
An Adel, Georgia, woman was unharmed after her car went off the road on Thursday, September 18 and went into a pond. According to the Georgia State Patrol, Tabatha Smith of Adel, Ga was driving on Industrial Road when her car went off the road at about 9:00pm that morning. According to John Oxford of the Moultrie Observer, the Nissan Altima that Ms. Smith was driving went into a pond and hit a tree. After the car went into the pond, it began to fill with water. Ms. Smith then became trapped in the vehicle. The Moultrie Fire Department and the GA State Patrol were called to the scene following the accident, and Smith was safely removed from the car. Fortunately Ms. Smith was not injured, cited, or charged with any offense.
