A Cherokee County car accident turned fatal Sunday morning, December 28, when Woodstock High School student Victoria Heil, 18, was killed on I-575, according to Aungelique Proctor of the MyFOX Atlanta website. According to the Georgia State Patrol, Heil apparently lost control of her vehicle, which struck a guard rail and flipped over on the interstate near Cherokee County's Town Lake Parkway. Troopers reported that the student was not wearing her seat belt when her Jeep Wrangler crashed. The 18-year-old was a varsity cheerleader, a National Honor Society member and, according to Woodstock High School teacher Kelly Burke, had plans of becoming an engineer or having a career in medicine.
