A Car Crash in Marietta Kills 1 and Leaves 2 Injured

May 26, 2011 - Atlanta, Ga - The driver of a Dodge caravan, carrying 2 passengers, dies after losing control of his vehicle, around 7 p.m. Tuesday evening.

Sergio Mendoza Leon, 31, was speeding when he lost control of his vehicle that ended up colliding into a telephone pole and crashing into a building, causing major damage and a gas leak.

Leon was fatally injured after being thrown from his caravan. The 2 passengers in the caravan, 35-year-old Jazmin Martinez and 20-year-old Eduardo Reyes, were taken to WellStar Kennestone Hospital for minor injuries. The Marietta police have reported that alcohol was present.
