Atlanta Car Crash Injures Mother and Her 2 Children

May 26, 2011 - Atlanta, Ga - An Atlanta car crash involving a stolen vehicle struck a mother and her 2 children causing injuries to all 3 victims.

The mother and her 2 children, ages 7 and 9, were walking on the sidewalk of Lawton Street, close to Donnelly Avenue, when they were hit by the stolen vehicle at around 11:20 a.m.

The stolen vehicle, a maroon Dodge Intrepid, carried 4 young men who fled the scene after the crash. Police were able to catch the proclaimed driver of the stolen vehicle who's been put into the Fulton County Juvenile Detention Center.

The 9-year-old child, who was constrained in a wheelchair due to cerebral palsy, was ejected down an embankment and the 7-year-old child suffered a broken arm. They both were taken to the Egleston Children's Hospital for medical attention.

The children's mother was injured on the arm but refused medical treatment.
