Danger on Douglas County Roadways | Attorney Douglasville

Posted on Feb 11, 2011

As many of you know, June 22, 2010, a Douglasville woman was killed on Highway 5 when a deer crashed through her windshield. The Douglas County Coroner, Randy Daniel said, "I never, ever thought I'd see an accident like this again," who recalled a similar case 15 years ago. "I was flabbergasted." For those who travel frequently on Highway 5 in Douglasville, deer crossings are a continuous problem.

But for those of us who drive on Douglas County roadways, Highway 5 is not the only dangerous road. The Douglas County DOT recently identified thirty-five of the most dangerous curves on highways in Douglas County. As we prepare the number of days until the first day of school starts in Douglas County on August 5, 2010, we advise that if you travel by any of these roadways on your way to work or school, you may want to rethink your route and be advised that these are some of the locations where accidents are most likely to occur.
