Savannah’s Ride Motorcycle Run Benefits Girl with Cerebral Palsy

October 2011 - Rockmart, GA - The Rockmart community is rallying both in spirit and support around an 11-year-old girl living with cerebral palsy. The "Savannah's Ride" motorcycle event that took place September 9^th and 10^th gathered supportive bikers from all over Paulding County to raise money for the Holcomb family.

Disabled from birth, Savannah Holcomb requires a wheelchair for mobility and has 3 different weekly therapies, as well as other medical schedules to help improve her muscle control and speech. Medications, doctors and other needs have put a financial strain on the family, leading to the creation of the fundraiser.

There has also been a fund established in Savannah's name that handles the donations from the ride. All proceeds gathered from this weekend will provide a lift system in the home and improvements to their wheelchair-accessible van. As Savannah continues to grow like a normal 11-year-old, these improvements will be of great help to her parents.
